Mindshare, the global media agency that is part of WPP, has been ranked as the number one global agency network and number one media agency in the newly launched MMA Smarties Business Impact Index.
The Mobile Marketing Association (MMA) has created the Business Impact Index as an industry first index to identify and award the top agencies, advertisers, brands and technology enablers that are industry leaders in mobile-first campaigns which have significant impact on business.
Mindshare is ranked #1 in both the 2017 Global Smarties Business Impact Index for Agency Networks and also the 2017 Global Smarties Business Impact Index for Media Agencies.
Mindshare topped the media agency ranking table with 1261.7 points with sister GroupM agency Mediacom taking second spot with 195.1 points and PHD completing the top 3with 177 points. In the agency network table, Mindshare’s points total was enough to beat R/GA into second place (307.5 points) with IPG Mediabrands completing the top three (275.9 points).
Unilever topped the advertiser table ahead of PepsiCo and Samsung and in the brand table Nike were ranked #1, ahead of Unilever brands Lipton and Knorr to complete the top three.
The MMA along with WARC calculated the ranking for the index by using the finalist and winner data from the regional and global SMARTIES Awards over the past year.
