Good morning from dreary Austin! The rain has subsided (for now) and we’re ready for another day running from session to session, house to house, and even a tour of the trade show! There’s some major panelists today (celebrities, investors, politicians..) and we’re hitting the ground running.
Here’s a few sessions I’m most excited for. While I still haven’t made the decision of whether I want to see Joe Biden or Maisie Williams and Sophie Turner, I’m confident that both will be enlightening to see!
The Future of Luxury
11AM-12PM, Hyatt Regency Zilker Ballroom 2
Thought leaders from Diageo, Jaguar Land Rover, PSFK and Warrior Poets will meet to debate the meaning of luxury in a rapidly changing marketplace and how brands can keep pace.
What is the Future of Sports VR?
2:00PM – 3:00PM, Hyatt Regency, Zilker Ballroom 3-4
Oculus and the NBA discuss leveraging mixed reality in the sports space.
Connect To End Cancer
Three sessions across the day with Joe Biden appearing at 3:30PM, at Austin Convention Center Room 8ABC.
In support of the new Biden Cancer Initiative, speakers and panels will provide education, exposure, and potential development support to entrepreneurs and encourage collaboration among innovators, industry executives, venture capitalists, celebrities, philanthropists and SXSW Interactive attendees who share MD Anderson, the AT&T Foundry, and Merck & Co., Inc.’s commitment to make cancer history.
Featured Session: Game of Thrones Showrunners
3:30PM-4:30PM, Austin Convention Center Ballroom D
Sophie Turner and Maisie Williams (Sansa Stark and Arya Stark, respectively) from the Emmy-award winning show Game of Thrones in an intimate discussion with creators and executive producers of the show.
Need a break from panels? Pinterest has plenty going on at their house with tech tricks and demos from 10am-4pm and YouTube has their corner open from 10am-6pm. If you’re in need of a drink and love chatting fashion and commerce, check out Adaptive Commerce & Cocktails With Curalate Decoded Fashion House from 1:30PM-3PM.
See you on 6th street later tonight, Austin!
