Mindshare@SXSWi: Wake Up, Austin – Friday, March 10

By Charlie Legg, Associate Director, Planning, Mindshare North America

“I don’t care if Monday’s blue, Tuesday’s gray and Wednesday too, Thursday I don’t care about you, It’s Friday I’m in love.”

Lyrics from The Cure couldn’t be more appropriate for today. It’s the first day of the 2017 SXSWi festival here in Austin, TX and Mindshare will be unleashing our roving reporters into the streets to bring you “The Best From South West.” The weather will be seasonably warm for the next two days but bring an umbrella as rain is likely through the weekend. And remember – if you’re looking to catch an Uber of a Lyft, they’re not actually in Austin – so download the Fassen app for this one (and check out the other transit options in our SXSWi Guide).

Here are some of the top draws to consider as you swig on that first cup of Joe (or perhaps even a delicious Caramel Macchiato).
