eMarketer’s new report looks at the future of Instagram advertising in 2017, identifying opportunities and considering its competitor, Snapchat.
“Instagram’s focus on beautiful and striking imagery appeals to advertisers who have a strong visual aesthetic. ‘Instagram is the place where you put your beautifully crafted art. Snapchat is where you go to put your fun, goofy pictures that are deleted,” said Chris Wallace, Managing Partner of Mindshare. “To me, I don’t think it’s an either/or. I think it’s both. As long as your audience is there, there’s an opportunity to talk to them in both of those environments.'”
