Mindshare North America Appoints Diana Gordon as Director of Shop+

Mindshare NA Expands Dedicated Retail Unit in Chicago

CHICAGO—Mindshare North America, the global media agency network that’s part of WPP, announced today the appointment of Diana Gordon as Senior Partner, Director of Shop+, the agency’s dedicated retail and e-commerce unit.

Formally launched worldwide last year, Shop+ guides brands through all forms of media related to commerce, from leveraging augmented reality in physical stores to the latest adaptive pricing and promotion technologies used by online retailers. In her role, Gordon will serve as the Chicago lead for Shop+, overseeing the unit’s expansion in that market. She will report to Joe Migliozzi, Managing Director and Global Shop+ Lead for Mindshare.

Gordon brings over a decade of industry experience across media to her role. Most recently, she led the social media and search practice for Mindshare’s Chicago and Atlanta offices, working with national and multi-national clients such as General Mills, Kimberly-Clark, Abbott, John Deere, Intercontinental Hotels Group, United States Marine Corps, and more.

Before joining Mindshare, Gordon led client businesses at two of the top-rated search marketing agencies in the industry. At iCrossing, she helped steward digital innovation for Coca-Cola’s brands, and at iProspect, she oversaw paid and organic search for Sears Holdings Inc. Prior to that, she specialized within iProspect’s Retail division, working with brands like Walgreens and Staples adopt digital best practices and drive innovation. Gordon started her career with roles at Inceptor, Inc and then the Idearc Media Corporation.

A widely respected thought leader, Gordon’s insights have been cited in CNBC, Advertising Age, Search Engine Journal, and more. And last year, she was honored as one of Google’s Top 10 Search Marketers of Excellence.
