Congratulations to our own Melissa Coffas, Managing Director, on being named one of Mobile Marketer’s 2016 Mobile Women to Watch!
This annual list, now in its seventh year, honors 25 smart executives who are set to make a difference in 2016 in mobile advertising, marketing, and media. Coffas is one of the only agency executives to be recognized on this year’s list.
You can see the full list of winners, and interviews with each of them, by downloading the Mobile Women to Watch 2016 guide here. An excerpt of Coffas’ interview is also pasted below (you can see the rest of her answers in the guide).
What do you most like about your job?
No two days in this industry are ever the same.
I love having the opportunity to drive different kinds of creative solutions and strategies for our clients’ business needs and challenges.
Every day, I get to partner with smart, bold clients who embrace first-to-market opportunities and are always seeking their agency to continuously push them.
What is the biggest challenge in your job?
Combined, it’s managing the ever-growing volume of available data to marketers coupled with the constantly evolving consumer and technological landscape – all done in order to identify what is the most pertinent and offers the biggest opportunity to drive our clients’ objectives. It keeps us on our toes, but it keeps things interesting as well.
What is your work priority for 2016?
Marketing and media must always move at the speed of culture.
For myself and my team, our priority will be to continue identifying and leveraging meaningful real-time data and insights that have the ability to keep our clients culturally relevant, and drive their business forward.
Your proudest achievement in mobile?
Working with the team for Degree® deodorant, a brand that is grounded in movement and encourages consumers to always push their performance, to align them with one of the biggest technology launches of 2015: the Apple Watch.
Instead of recommending that they build an app from the ground-up, we worked together to tap into a partner with existing fitness equity that aligned with Degree®, provided scale and had the desire to develop an app for Apple Watch.
After careful consideration, the Degree® team partnered with Galvanized Media to develop the fitness app “Sweat This, Not That, 30-Day Fit Moves Challenge.”
